Politics and business in a dialogue

Ludwig Muxel, mayor of the Arlberg communities Lech and Zürs, and Jan Neusiedl, first mayor of Grünwald, now met for an internal exchange of experiences. At this meeting Jan Neusiedl gave an account of the project of „Erdwärme Grünwald“. Both mayors agreed: „How we deal with energy, how we produce and disperse it more and more becomes an important location factor. We are in charge of developing and realizing lasting concepts.”

On the borehole of Erdwärme Grünwald:
The first drilling is perfectly on schedule: The second „section“ has been completely tubed and cemented down to around 1,950 metres. The drilling of the third section is going on. This section will go more than 3,000 metres deep.

The interest in the borehole in Oberhaching-Laufzorn remains unchanged and great. An investor delegation from Ireland, a delegation of the Bundeswehr University Neubiberg with around 25 students as well as an international circle of guests of the drilling company Daldrup & Söhne AG, among others, have visited the borehole. Further groups announced themselves – for example, from the Geothermal Society Bernried as well as school classes and clubs.
