Energy supply in Europe – quo vadis?
Energy is the backbone of our society. For each of us. The energy consumption is growing steadily. The natural resources are dangerously scarce. The costs increase. How much energy can we afford? Will energy become our most expensive asset? When will the lights go out?
E. ON Energie executive Bernd Romeike answers the topical questions. "We do not have to worry if we make the right decisions in Europe, then we will have an environmental-friendly and secure energy supply in the future and at the end people will also be able to pay for it", Bernd Romeike says. For the CEO of ASTherm BeratungsGmbH Stefan Schmidt-Ammon, geothermics is the right decision: "In my view, geothermal energy can be a relevant contribution to substitute fossil energy. I think that ten to 20 per cent share in the long term are possible." The member of the Bavarian parliament Thomas Kreuzer also believes renewable energy is an important subject in Bavaria: "We promote renewable energy – in this area Bavaria, for example, is leading in Germany."
Our energy supply is a topic that offers a lot of material for discussion – also at the heller & partner trend talks. TV presenter Nina Ruge: "I did not think that there could be a kind of salon in this exclusive setting in Munich. It has a relaxed atmosphere, an intellectual touch and an intellectual level. And it has a pleasingly unpretentious character of networking. You find contacts here, you make it very relaxed, with no intentions, and do it anyway. Therefore the motto ‘Everything will be good’ is really realized here."
