Borkum’s spa authorities co-ordinate the entire spa and tourist business on this North-Sea island. Their range of services is comprehensive: in co-operation with private service providers, they cover all the island’s cure and tourist offers and communicate them to the public. They can thus guarantee a high frequency of tourists and patients at the spa. Currently the “flagship” is a new leisure and wellness pool.

The island’s new “flagship” requires a concept for its market launch – a case for heller & partner. This includes a new name, corporate design and a comprehensive communications strategy.

With the “Gezeitenland” (“Land of the Tides”) heller & partner has turned the holiday and leisure world upside down. The Gezeitenland – the new pool and leisure facility – is an experience so fresh and pure it can only be enjoyed on the island of Borkum. The name, which was developed by heller & partner, epitomises all the important messages: tranquillity, distance and harmony meet up with dynamic forces and the natural elements. Associations of water, sun and see are conjured up – creating that holiday feeling. In addition to B-to-B communication, the integrated concept also comprises the B-to-C segment and PR work.
