Construction Sector is still growing in 2012

According to the German Office of Statistics, the construction industry continued its upward trend. The Central Federation of the German Construction Industry showed an order increase of 3 %. Our customer HASIT explains, that many building permits have been issued for 2012. Therefore there were given many impulses for the coming fiscal year. The new catalogs with the full range of the HASIT-products of the company have been handed out during this year’s Sales Conference which was held under the slogan “HASIT Team Challenge 2012”.

Munich to vote on the third runway on June 17

Can a third runway be built at Munich Airport? This is the central question that will be answered by Munich’s citizens on June 17 later this year. On this day, people eligible to vote will get the chance to go to the polls and decide on the enlargement of Munich's Airport. The referendum is taking place because Munich city is one of the three shareholders of Munich Airport and its approval is needed when it comes to decisions such as extensions and enlargements. Additionally, the local branch of the Green party, opposed to the entire plan, has initiated a petition for a referendum on their own. Opposing them, the ruling parties of SPD, CSU and FDP have progressively pushed for a referendum wanting to give all Munich citizens the chance to have their say on a central aspect of Munich’s economic and infrastructural future.

Glamorous bestowal of Sky’s 3. Mira Award

A plenty of stars, emotions and happy winners – the 3. Mira Award had much to offer. The Sky-initiated award pays tribute to exceptional achievements within the German Pay-TV. Last Thursday the award was bestowed in front of 270 selected guests within a glamorous gala dinner at ewerk in Berlin. “Pay-TV has become the innovation platform for all program directors. Therefrom all viewers benefit day-to-day and twenty-four-seven. The Mira Award honors these achievements and that’s why it’s the Pay-TV event of the year”, says Gary Davey, Executive Vice President Programming Sky Germany.

Congratulations

The “virtuos” easily manages what many other membership magazines still struggle with: to broadly inform and playfully entertain readers both at the same time and still adhering to high journalistic standards. This well-documented success story all started in December 2008 with the first edition of the GEMA membership magazine being published. Since then, a lot has been refined with regards to content as well as appearance and publishing formats, the digital e-paper version of the magazine only being the tip of the iceberg. With the booklet, the GEMA stunningly manages both to inform its readers about the latest achievements of the German Society for Musical Performing Rights and Mechanical Reproduction Rights and to create even closer links with its subscribers and readers.
